Although certain aspects of SEO are very fluid, many of the basics remain unchanged. Because of this, you might think we often repeat the same things over and over when discussing search engine rankings. Well in some ways that is true. Truth is we are not only repeating ourselves but Google itself. From Google's own webmaster blog:
"Our advice for publishers continues to be to focus on delivering the best possible user experience on your websites and not to focus too much on what they think are Google's current ranking algorithms or signals" However, SEO still plays a part and you shouldn't ignore it altogether. Perhaps you want a bit more information from us on what does work. I have compiled a quick list of questions to help you answer these questions yourself. Look at your content and ask the following seven SEO questions:
  1. Does this article have excessive links or ads? Or do they distract from the content itself?
  2. Is this article relevant to those who visit my website?
  3. Do I have other articles that are basically the same but have mainly just changed the keyword or keyword phrase?
  4. Does this article sound like it was written by a native speaker? Or does it sound hastily produced or written by someone who doesn't fully understand your language?
  5. Would you trust or use the information in your article?
  6. Would you bookmark, share or recommend your article with your friends?
  7. Is this article for search engines or for readers?
